Mike Louvila started his music career by joining the “Gospelize It” choir in Montpellier. He then joined several successful groups notably “By The Gospel River” with Emmanuel Djob. In 2008 he participated in the Sankofa Soul Contest. He finished 2nd place and was immediately hired by the Black Legend in Monaco. There he became a prominent figure in the funk, soul and RnB music genres.
With his experience, Mike has provided backing vocals on stage for many renowned artists such as Christophe Willem. Other groups call on him for performances around the world, in particular in Italy, Belgium, Lebanon, Morocco, Slovenia, South Korea, Russia... Since 2012 he has been a member of the Opus group Jam and has performed as a solo baritone.
Mike is distinguished by his particular vocal color: a voice full of warmth and soul, recognizable among a thousand.

The group has been able to forge its experience through unexpected artistic encounters and has kept
through the years the same objective which is to Always aim higher!
The hallmark of ARTIKAL BAND: Efficiency, simplicity, respect and sharing! These essential values have remained the same on stage.
In 2016, the five-piece band celebrated its 20th anniversary.
The beginnings of an exceptional and remarkable journey at the heart of the world of Reggae music
Artikal Band began their career as fans of reggae and Sound Systems. In many ways the group was born in front of the small screen as the young musicians would watch hours of vhs tapes and live performances by artists such as Sunsplash and the Sagittarius Band.
The band would later work with local artists (such as Kousi, Netna, Vybrate) before collaborating with big names like Tiwony, Straika D, Esy Kennenga and the Jamaicans (Sister Carol, Jah Mali, Ras Shiloh, The Heptones ... the list is long!).
The group is internationally recognized for its talent and continues to make a name for itself in the reggae community. They have performed at Sound, Jamaican Sunrise, Rototom, Summerjam, and attended
Since 2010, Artikal Band has accompanied renowned reggae singer Yaniss Odua and has released live DVDs. With more than 50 dates per year, the group performs at the Zeniths in Paris, St-Etienne, Rouen, Lille and even Pau. The band travels across France and Europe, sharing its naturally and authentic passion for reggae music.
